 My body immediately stiffens. It's been so long since I heard that sound. But there's no way in hell Hanabi can contact me via my phone, right? There's only one person now that can contact me. After I change out of my uniform, I open the message from Yukishiro-san.

Yukishiro-san: Thanks for bringing me home! Did you get home safely?

Her first message isn’t filled with spite or hatred. It reads just like a normal message, which is novel to me. As soon I see the message, I reply as quickly as I can.

Yukishiro-san: Thanks for talking with me today as well
I know talking about those things can be painful
But I'm glad we can have an honest chat about Kisaragi-san

Yukishiro-san: Thanks for also listening to my confession I was planning on not telling you
But I guess it was a spur of the moment confession lol

Yukishiro-san's way of writing messages is pretty normal, but it still retains her unique charm. I find myself smiling as I read her messages. Before I know it, I've exchanged so many messages with her. Time does fly when you're having fun. So this is what actual communication feels like, not just one sided orders. A strange excitement bubbles up in me.

Yukishiro-san: Actually, this is the first time I really talked to someone via messages

Same goes for me.

Yukishiro-san: Oh, I wasn't fishing for encouragement or anything, I was just speaking what was on my mind.

---I mean, it would be a good thing if you received some, yeah?

Yukishiro-san: That's not what I meant lol

---Sorry, I was joking lol

---I know what you mean when you say that though

Yukishiro-san: Are you fine like this?

---Yeah, it's fine like this, I have a good image in my head

Yukishiro-san: Oh?

---Us having fun

We were replying back and forth pretty quickly, but it seems Yukishiro-san is taking her time with this one. I them see that she sent an embarrassed face stamp.

Yukishiro-san: Don't say things like that, my heart was beating so fast

---Why? I was just saying what was on my mind.

I'm a bit confused, not going to lie.

Yukishiro-san: Well, it's because I love you
And when I hear the person I love say that we're having fun, I get all jittery
Getting special treatment from you feels like an illusion
You are quite the playboy!

She follows that up with an angry bunny stamp

"H-haha... she really does like me."

It's not like I forgot, more like it hasn't hit me yet.

Yukishiro-san: Anyways, want to hang out sometime?

---Hang out?

Yukishiro-san: Yeah If this Saturday works, we could go on a date

"Date..."

I reflexively speak out because I'm so surprised. This is the first time anyone asked me out on a date. It really did happen.

With Hanabi, she would drag me to whichever place and call it a date. Those were never dates in my mind, since I was always bellboy and nothing else.

Before I have time to reply, Yukishiro-san sends another message.

Yukishiro-san: I thought it would be a good idea to hang out first before we commit to anything long term.
It'll give us some peace of mind

Shit, she's so cute...

Honestly, I'm not sure if I've fallen in love with her again, but my head is a mess and I need to sort out my emotions. I definitely won't refuse her invite.

"Shit, I got to reply quickly."

---Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with hanging out

Shit, I sound too formal. But I couldn't think of anything else to say.

Yukishiro-san: I'm glad it works!

Have I said that Yukishiro-san is cute? All my emotions are basically fried at this point.

"How in the world can someone like this exist?"

Because of Hanabi, my view on women has been heavily skewed, however, I'm grateful I got to know Yukishiro-san and have my eyes opened.

"So a date... I wonder what I need to do to prepare..."

The guy is the one that plans the location, yeah? But I guess it would be better if we both discuss. There's a lot I don't understand, so it would be best if we do it as a team.

"While I'll look like a failure, it would be better just to ask her too."

Yeah it might look bad on me, but I have no other choice.

---I don't really know any good dates spots, anywhere specific you want to go?

Yukishiro-san: This is my first date too, how would I know?

...Well, damn. I guess I have more reason to take charge now. Well, I'm not too confident in my abilities.

Yukishiro-san: As long as I am with you, anywhere will be fun!

I feel myself blushing as I read that. We ended up talking until 2AM about our upcoming date.

    I hope Hanabi pulls one on the MC like Sara from I was wrong. Don't like where this is going, MC moving on and living a happy life is fine but if that's how it ends there's no point in reading anymore. Much more enjoyable with Hanabi messing around.
